You have the description of an idea, a need, a service, a technology or a patent,
in all cases it is interesting to find similar or peripheral technologies.
For an idea : Similar or close technologies can help you improve it, very early in the process.
For a service : Find competitors and see how you position yourself.
For a technology or patent : Find potential licensees that are close enough to understand the value of your offerings.
For a need : Scout and find potential suppliers or partners.
For a physical product : See if you have a risk of litigation against existing patents.
In all cases, the process is very similar and as follow :
1. Login at https://map.arkanna.co
Login : <Your email>
Password : <Your password>
2. Go to "Edit & categorize Assets"
3. Create a new Asset, "Technology" for exemple.
4. Fill up the field and Save
5. Click on "related patent" below to the description
6. Copy paste the text and launch
(For your reference, the best results are when the description is focused on a technical description and have 150 words)
7. Open Amberscope.com with the same login and password
8. Copy past the 6 patents found in the previous step
9. Look for 250 patents after 2015, with "licensing" option
10. Export the result in Excel from the "share result" button.
11. Click on "Pivot Table"
From the listing that will appears on the right of the screen : click on "Owner" first, then "Licensing Potential". The companies will then be listed with their cummulated licensing potential. The one with higher value will be the most interesting to explore.
The audience you will discover can be used to go further. Indeed if you save it in the category audience.
By selecting the names, and copy/paste.
At the beginning of each month, we generate the overalap audience that you will find in "Landscape Viewer" from the menu. This is useful to find potential partner having the same audience as yours.
Your asset appears in yellow sphere (1) the company or asset having similar audience will be linked (2) to it and they will appears in blue (3).
